Gail Ito, CTRS

Gail Ito, CTRS has been a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist for over 40 years.  She has worked in long term care, and psychiatric and chemical dependence settings.  In addition, Gail has taught college in recreation and physical education at Northeastern Illinois University and Chicago State University.  Gail has spoken extensively and organized workshops in therapeutic recreation for the Midwest Symposium on Therapeutic Recreation, the Illinois Parks and Recreation Association (IPRA) and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA).  She has a BS and MS in recreation from the University of Illinois in Champaign and a Doctorate in Education from Northern Illinois University.  Gail enjoys consulting in activities in staff management, activity programming, interpretation of state regulations, and dealing with difficult behaviors. 

 

TRACI L. PARETI, CTRS

Traci L. Pareti is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) who brings 20 years of expertise to our company. She provides education and training to long-term care facilities in both the private and not-for-profit sectors. She has extensive experience as a Dementia Special Care Coordinator and is a  Dementia Care instructor. Ms. Pareti is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University (Charleston, IL) and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Administration. Ms. Pareti’s experience includes extensive work with geriatric and psychiatric populations in long-term care facilities. She is a much sought-after resource and seminar leader in the Illinois and Midwestern region. Ms. Pareti's expertise includes advances in dementia care (including Person-Centered Care), program and staff competency evaluation, teaching regulatory compliance with the myriad of state and federal regulations, recreation administration, and staff development. She is a regular contributor to the SocialWork Consultation Group “Letter,” a member of the National Association for Activity Professionals, and an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Ms. Pareti has been a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) since 1997.
